It’s the drawstring!!
Having a drawstring in your bikini bottom is key! 98% of the bikinis I design have a drawstring that goes through the waistline and ties on the side. This fancy little string is crucial in keeping your bikini bottoms from falling off. Before I started Ola Chica, I had many embarrassing moments in the surf. I felt like I always had to worry about my bottoms not staying on. Whether getting pummeled by a wave, popping up on my board, or even diving into the water, I would lose my bottoms. It was exhausting and very inconvenient to always keep adjusting my suit. Ola Chica was born out of the desire to have my suit stay on no matter what the conditions. Having a carefree suit was essential to fully enjoy myself and be relaxed in the water. While competing it gave me the piece of mind to know that my suit would never be an issue.
In more recent years, I started designing bodysuits and one-pieces. I’ve been surfing and swimming in them, and I absolutely love these suits. The great thing about one-pieces is they just don’t budge. Bodysuits also stay perfectly in place and give you great sun protection without the hassles of your rashguard sliding up. When I go on warm tropical surf trips I end up living in my long-sleeve bodysuit.
Feeling good in your body is crucial to your overall well-being, as it promotes a positive self-image and self-confidence. Wearing a swimsuit that makes you happy and comfortable can also contribute to a sense of ease and confidence in your own skin. Whether you're surfing, swimming, or engaging in other activities, being present and in the moment can enhance your enjoyment and connection with your surroundings.
